On December 12, 2008, the perceived size of moon as seen from Earth was the largest visible since 1993. The sky was clear in Utah ... picture taken just as the Moon cleared the Wasatch Range.
This is a dumb shot, I know, but look at how clear and beautiful the sky is. This shot was taken looking straight up ... not a cloud in site. And look at the color ... no enhancement has been done.
In my continuing attempts to take some "macro" shots, here is one of my best successes so far. The photo was taken at the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy Garden Park at 8215 South 1300 West in West Jordan. It is a great place to visit to learn about conserving water.
There is something soothing about watching and listening to water flowing lazily along on a late summer day. This is Big Cottonwood Creek near Old Mill.
